Metsäfestiwal 2012 offers 3 days of non-stop music on four stages with a wide musical spectrum ranging from DJ's to live acts and bands.

To keep things interesting, we've hand-picked a wide variety of performers from all over the known musical spectrum, ranging from Finnish hip-hop/rap, progressive rock and various crossover groups to full-on psychedelic and goa trance acts!

FLOWERS STAGE psychedelic trance

Flowers Stage is where the main course of audiovisual dancefeet-shaking psychedelia will be served - here the forest turns into an interdimensional portal, especially after sunset.

Hosted & illuminated by Flowers of Life, the main decoration group of Metsäfestiwal 2012, the Flowers Stage is guaranteed to tweak every possible sense on the dancefloor to the outer limits.

The emphasis in music on this stage is in psy-trance music, with headliners such as Juno Reactor in concert and Hux Flux performing in a one-of-a-kind environment to experience a wide variety of world-class artists live in an open air forest environment. A stunning array of both UV and effects lighting will ensure that no additives are needed to exit the mundane everyday reality!

LIVE STAGE live bands & crossover music

Live Stage is maintained and produced by Subculture foundation Syvä ry, who are well-known for their pioneer work in scouting new and interesting artists from the highest ranks of Finnish underground music culture.

Nevermind genre limitations or musical bias - the purpose of the Live Stage is to offer music that will lift your mood to the skies above and make those dancing feet shake as well.

With a line-up menu ranging from folk-influenced and alternative progressive rock bands to groups that blend the barrier between men and machines by combining live instruments and machinery, the Live Stage itself will surely be an experience not to be missed in comparison to other Finnish open air summer festivals. The passion of Syvä ry is to offer a unique line-up with a satisfaction guarantee.

SYVÄ STAGE rap & hip-hop

Syvä Stage is a sole dedication from the Subculture foundation Syvä ry towards the underground rap and hip-hop culture from all over Finland.

High-ranking and highly streetwise hip-hop/rap acts will be blasting on the stage and are sure to get the people bouncing around, especially as some of the acts will feature a full live band. These include the widely-acclaimed Notkea Rotta, Laineen Kasperi & Palava kaupunki and Koivuniemen herrat.

Even if Finnish is not your native language, these verbal acrobats will surely get their message through - in a manner only possible for a Finn. A true cultural experience into the depths of alternative Finnish lifestyle!

ARC OF CARNIVAL chill-out, downtempo, mixed

Every once in a while everyone of us just wants to kick back and relax. And that's exactly what the Arc of Carnival is here for! Hosted by Flowers of Life, this rain-covered chill-out lounge is perfect for those who want to take it easy and just enjoy the moment.

The Arc provides a nicely laid-back, weather-resistant chill-out tent option from easy going, groovy downtempo music to spoken-word poetry - soft frequencies in a cozy atmosphere.

The Arc of Carnival is situated very near the Live and Syvä Stages, so those of who don't feel like walking all the way to the camping area after a lengthy dancing session can rest their tired feet here and let the music heal. Maybe you'll even spot some of your long-lost friends, or get acquainted with new ones!
